London: Piccadilly Circus, Ippudo, and Rock & Sole Plaice

Koen and I spent last week in London. The last time I was in London with time to really explore was 10 years ago! So although I’d been before, it was really like visiting for the first time.

We arrived in the evening and had a quick dinner at Ippudo, a recommendation for ramen that we couldn’t pass up. On the way there we passed through Piccadilly Circus, which I guess is supposed to be like Times Square in New York City but doesn’t quite compare. Luckily we didn’t go out of our way to visit. After dinner we took a different route back, stopping first for a bubble tea, then a gelato! We also passed through London’s Chinatown where I definitely would like to go back the next time we visit London!

The next evening we booked our tickets for The Book of Mormon at the Prince of Wales Theater – soooo funny! I could not stop laughing. If you haven’t heard of it, The Book of Mormon is a musical written by the creators of Southpark, following two young Mormons venturing out on their mission. Before the show we went to Rock & Sole Plaice for dinner, the oldest fish and chips restaurant in London!
