Scotch & Manchester Eggs

Scotch and Manchester Eggs

Koen and I had Scotch eggs for the first time in London earlier this month and they were so delicious we needed to recreate them immediately!

What is a Scotch egg? A hard-boiled egg wrapped in sausage meat, coated in bread crumbs and deep-fried.

Then we were looking up recipes and discovered the Manchester egg!

What is a Manchester egg? A pickled egg wrapped in sausage and blood pudding, coated in bread crumbs and deep-fried. Just so happens I pickled some eggs a month ago and had them in the fridge. We had to adapt the recipe because we didn’t have any blood pudding at home.

Yum!
