Brunch with Mom
To celebrate my mom’s birthday early, we headed to London for the day! London may seem far away from Antwerp, but by train it’s actually only a 2 hour ride! This was my mom’s first time in London, so we did a full day of sight-seeing, ending on a high note with afternoon tea at Claridge’s.
We arrived at St Pancras International in King’s Cross and headed directly to Granary Square for brunch at The Lighterman – one of my favorites! If you’ve been following my blog for a while, you know I almost always come here when in London.

Brunch with a view

Eggs Florentine with a delicious juice

Carrot apple ginger juice

Mom’s avocado toast with poached eggs

Bacon and portobellos
After brunch we went into Westminster City, walking through Green Park, visiting Buckingham Palace – where we saw Prince William! – seeing Parliament, Big Ben, the London Eye, etc.

A lot of commotion outside of Buckingham Palace

Prince William is in the back seat!

A shame Big Ben is being repaired during our visit!

Quick stop for tea to take back home!

Warm welcome to Fortnum & Mason!
Now for the highlight of the trip – afternoon tea at Claridge’s. It was both of our first time having afternoon tea in London, so we needed to do it right! What an experience! The food and the tea were so delicious!
