I know it’s a bit late for a Christmas post, but I can be a bit lazy when there are a lot of photos involved!
Because we exchange gifts with Sinterklaas, we celebrate Christmas with a big dinner and everyone prepares a course!
Koen and me in our Christmas clothes!
I will begin with photos of the family!
The Brörmann family
The original Brörmanns
The children and Bosje
This is us last year, Christmas 2012!
Koen and me again
Now for the food!
The Christmas table
Soup cocktails, my course! (Heavily filtered tomato soup with vodka)
My soup cocktail served alongside Dook’s seafood medley of shrimp, seared tuna, and tuna tartare
A quick photo of Dook’s dish in the making
Gluten- and Lactose-free bread by Nikki and Brigiet
Parmesan bread (so very much Gluten and Lactose inclusive) by Nikki and Brigiet
Koen’s course consisted of gelatinized dill with salmon mousse and aioli
More bread by Nikki and Brigiet! This time Pakistani bread with a spinach dip
Sofie took care of the vegetables – asparagus and a salad of rocket and peach (with avocado and goat cheese on the side)
Delicious trio of meat! Livar pork (special pork from Limburg in the Netherlands), steak, and Els’s chicken legs
A delicious wine to go with dinner!
Barbara made a delicious dessert, all made from scratch – chocolate ice cream with candied nuts and mango sorbet!
Barbara also made her famous chocolate to go with coffee, consisting of dark and white chocolate, nuts and caramel
I am glad we decided to take photos before eating! So much delicious food!
