Koen and I just returned from a long weekend in Barcelona, where my graduation was being held. We stayed in the Gràcia neighborhood, in the north of the city, where Park Güell is located. Of course it’s fun to explore the neighborhood!
Strolling through Notting Hill
To start our first real day together in London, we walked from Notting Hill through Hyde Park to get to Chelsea for the most delicious brunch at The Ivy Chelsea Garden.
This year Koen’s birthday fell on a Tuesday – my day off. Koen’s parents came to Antwerp that afternoon and we did a lot of groceries – going to the butcher, cheese shop, and Delhaize – so we could prepare a dinner of Koen’s favorite foods.

A couple of weeks ago Koen had a few friends over for a boys’ night, so I asked my sister-in-law Barbara if I could come visit her in Tilburg. We had a fun girls’ night with ice cream and cocktails!
