Often for work I need to go to London and I always look forward to choosing where to eat in the evening. This time I was in the city for a week, so there were many opportunities to explore the culinary scene. Because my hotel was in Mayfair, all of the restaurants we visited are in the City of Westminster (click if you want to read an earlier post about the borough). To make it easy, I’ve divided the restaurants into 4 categories: British, Indian, Pubs and Street Food!
Last Sunday Koen’s parents came to Antwerp for a visit. We had wonderful, sunny weather and took a nice stroll through the city. After a delicious lunch at Burgerij, we checked out an exhibit about royal luggage and then walked a different route back to our apartment. It’s always fun playing the tour guide!
For Sinterklaas, I must have been very good because I received a lot of delicious goodies from Koen – foie gras, truffle oil, various cheeses, and wine! I am not very patient when it comes to delicious food (I must get that from my father, who always says ironically that patience is his middle name). With that in mind I wanted try to incorporate everything into one decadent dinner!
Decadent Mini-Burgers! My plate is featured below. I created 2 foie gras burgers and 1 Stilton burger! All 3 were drizzled in truffle oil and topped off with raspberry-onion confiture!
